tumblr & me.

Just a note, I do have a tumblr now.  I've found it a little easier to keep current with stuff that way.  I'm terrible at blog posts, I mostly just ramble.

It's a lot of pics of my gameplay mostly, but I did share a lot today, and maybe I'll share some other things there, too.  I kind of hate being all over the place, sharing things willy-nilly, but I'm naturally absent-minded.  :sigh:

So, maybe you'll follow me there.  The one thing I really love about tumblr is that it is active and dynamic.  :shrug:

We'll see what comes next, I'm still pretty busy with 2 active young kids.
But I'm trying a little harder right now to not lose track of things I enjoy doing for me.

Just a quick hello.  I've been very busy, so busy that I've been unable to even crack the game open since the week of Seasons release, which is a bummer.  Lots of stuff going on in my life, 2 busy kids, and the holiday season.

I hope you had a wonderful Thanksgiving, that you have a very merry and safe Christmas, Hannukah, Yule, whatever you believe in.  No matter what you choose to celebrate, I hope that you're able to spend these days with friends and family.

Since I've been gone...

Okay, so I know I've mentioned it before, but I get busy and I don't update often and I always feel a bit badly about that.

There are reasons lol.
I have 2 kids now, I had a second healthy and happy little girl 7 months ago and I would be busy if it was just that but their dad is a grad student and we recently moved 8 hours from where we were living to get him into school.

I haven't given up creating, but I had to step back and take care of my real life first.
I'm contemplating taking a more active role in the blog perhaps, since I still enjoy it, but I haven't quite decided what is going to happen next.

I've been building lots lately, nothing super-insanely fancy, but I've got a few that I'll be transferring here from Simset Boulevard because the mods there have decided to shut things down and I'm a little heartbroken over that.  They've been such an amazing group of people and I've found it much easier to share when it's a conversation instead of just rambling out into space.

Blogging is hard for me, it feels very one-sided.

I've also got a new Sunset Valley map overhaul about ready to go empty, I'm slowly working on lots for a "built" version, but I've got a few bugs to work out of it still, a few things I changed that I'm not entirely sure about, so I'm not quite ready to share, but I've been wanting to get it up and running for Seasons, I am really excited to have something all my own for Seasons.

I have a few CC things I was thinking about, I'm still trying to learn, even if it's been a long, slow process for me.

I don't know.  I'll figure it out.  Anyways, give me a few days, I need to get things uploaded here but I should have a few lots up and ready before long.

A baby. A real one.

So, I don't think I mentioned it, really, but I had a baby in March.  Since around December the baby was already so big I couldn't sit in my desk chair for extended stretches, I couldn't breathe easily because I had kicking feet jabbing into my ribcage.  Now I have a newborn to contend with.  Well, she's 6 weeks old, so not newborn, but you know what I mean.  I do have a little more computer time these days, but I don't have enough to really sit down and make CC and I haven't even opened my game for more than 45 minutes or so in the past few months.  I don't know when or even if I'll return to CC creation.  I enjoyed it, but the real world has been calling me and I've taken up a lot of my crafting and cooking again and when I do have a few minutes of time to spare for a blog or something, I'd rather spend it doing stuff related to those hobbies I don't need to sit at a computer for a sizable stretch to complete.  Thank you for your love and kindness and I do hope I'll be able to get back into gaming some again in the future, but for now I will be letting that go.

A different kind of life.

Um...sorry. I kind of dozed off there for a few months.

Phew, but am I SLEEPY.

I've been rather busy and I hate to think I've abandoned the blog for this long, but life has been crazy. Between my job and getting my little one ready for kindergarten, the summer just flew and when I had time off, I couldn't sit down on the couch without zonking out. Hormones. Phuarg. What a bother.

I have done SOME stuff. Over at CS3 in the Lots part of my section, I have done some renovations of some community lots like Le Petit Shark and the Sunnyside Strand, that ugly blue pool and the empty strip of beach below the Wolff place.

I've also taken to emptying out EA's houses, polishing 'em up and changing up the terrible color choices and then posting them as empty lots, ready to jump in and decorate. I have done some minor rebuild work on a few, nothing you couldn't do in a pinch yourself, I'm not much of a builder, but I was doing these for myself initially to give me some empty cleaned out lots to play with and decided I could share too, and that if it saved someone an hour of fixing non-recolorable fences and staircases and pools-that-should-be-fountains and toning down terrible color schemes so that you can live with them until you decide exactly what colors you want to put in there for yourself...well, that's an hour saved. They still have kitchen counters and bathroom fixtures and lighting, they're not entirely barren, but there should be no store content in any of them and most of them are base game only (though patched) that I've released to this point. I have a few more in progress, so if you like what's there, I've got some on the way, too.

Those are in the Lots area over there as well, the few I've done so far.

I'll maybe post better pictures and alternate links here soon since there's a limit on image size at CS3 for forum storage's sake.

And now back to getting my kid ready for school. At least I generally get a few hours of quiet in the afternoon that I've been able to do SOMETHING.

So much goes on.

I'm hoping this week is quiet...aside from work, I could use a bit of a break from reality, I have so much stuff I've had to do lately. I've been watching all of the pose stuff that's been coming out, the pose player is very cool in concept. I've struggled a little to get much actually completed with it so far, but as more poses come out, I've had tons of ideas of things I'd like to do with the stuff.

Aside from that, I don't know. I have some ideas, some things I'd like to figure out how to do if I can dissect some similar projects and see how their creators did it.

We'll have to see. Lots on my mind, but I'm still here.

YAY! CS3 is back!

Okay, so it didn't EXACTLY go anywhere, but Custom Sims 3 was slowly falling apart due to some code errors and etc, but Regina has finally gotten the new forum up and running and has closed the old site down. Because of the types of issues that were happening, she couldn't just port all of the info straight over, so it is effectively a new forum entirely. If you HAD registered with the old CS3, please re-register. I and the other creators over there will be re-uploading all files that had been at the old site. Some of us are quicker than others, I've been pretty slow about getting mine done.

I will probably continue to post much of my stuff in both my section there and this blog, since that helped me not lose the stuff the last time...that and there doesn't seem to be tons of overlap between CS3 and people who catch my stuff here.

Anyways, not a big deal, I'm just happy to see my other home back up and running the way it should and I will have to plug away at getting my stuff re-posted there. At least I haven't been TOO prolific lol.

Some new stuff to share...soon?

I actually have a few little lots, a pattern or 2, and some other stuff I want to post, but for some reason any picture posted through Blogger on anyones' blogs, including mine are appearing as broken from my PC right now. I've been having some issues with...well, lots of PC stuff since yesterday. However, I will try to get that working properly for me so I can be sure that everything is posting correctly. (That or I'll put him on it and he can try to figure out what's up while I'm at work lol.)

I will be trying though, I know it's been a little while, but I do have a few things just about there and I will see if I can get something new out soon.

Oh, wow, how long has it been?

It's been a while, certainly. I'm not gone or anything, I'm just insanely busy with family and work-related stuff. I'm getting some stuff pulled together for something new, but I haven't quite figured out all of the finer points yet.

Stupid...grumble grumble.

Okay, so it doesn't seem like it's everyone, but some people are having issues with the trellis. I intend to take a look at it, but I'm not entirely sure how to fix it. I've gotten a suggestion or 2, I'll just have to take a little time to mess with it.

If you're one of those that are having problems with this object, I sincerely apologize. It's not a game breaker but it's not working as advertised and that's frustrating to you as the downloader and me as the creator. I'll try to have a fix up soon, but it may take a day or 2 as I'm really busy atm.

Sorry about the issues, sorry about the wait. I'm learning a lot of this as I go, so I hope you can bear with me as I learn.

Sorry I haven't posted lately. I got really really sick for almost a week, fevers and the whole nine yards. I was a mess and didn't get out of bed for 4 days. Then my kid deleted my entire folder of image files I've stashed and saved to make CC. SOOOO....I'm alive again, finally, and as long as I can replenish my stash relatively soon, I should be back on the creation train soon.

(I've been on an image bender lately and I've built up QUITE a collection already, I just haven't managed to get anything READY yet.)

Good News!

Well, not that ANYONE has found this place yet, but I've been given a creator's space at Custom Sims 3, and so I'll probably be posting some stuff here some as I update.

We'll see how it goes and I'll decide how I'm going to do this as that comes up.

I just wanted to make sure that I mentioned that I am indeed working on transferring some older collections and some other rugs here as well. I'm also in the process of upgrading my Disney prints and my Kush pieces as well. Soon enough I'll have new updated versions or whatever of all of those works as well as my boys' rugs and unisex rugs that I just haven't redone the pics for.
